We Tried!!

Chloe was trying a little too hard!
These dark pictures are a prime example of why I need a new camera! Hint Hint!

Get this girly outfit off of me!!

Well we tried to take our Christmas pictures last night before church. We got the kids dressed and I had bought Carter this cute little outfit a few weeks ago and couldn't wait for him to wear it. Well Ralph saw it and about died becuse he said Carter looked like a girl. But I was determined he was going to wear it. So we got ready and after too many pictures and no good ones I gave up. When I looked at the pictures I had to agree my little rough and tough boy looks a little girly. So we will try again tonight but with a new outfit and better lights!!

My Little Man

I can't believe how fast he is growing!! He is trying to take a step and gets mad that he can't get it yet! He is such a good baby that I hardly remember all those screaming days and nights and the days of NO sleep because of colic his first 3 months- oh yes I do remember now and that is why there will be no more children for the Nelsons (ha ha!!). As I think back to those days I can't thank all my wonderful friends and family enough for being there for me and letting me cry and watching Chloe so I could get 1 hour of sleep and letting my cry some more!! I will forever be grateful! God has truly blessed me with a circle of "Forever Friends!"

Chloe's Thanksgiving at Preschool

Here are some pictures of Chloe at her Thanksgiving Party at Mrs. BB's. She had fun and loved wearing her Indian Dress.

Chloe's First UT Game

We took Chloe to her first UT game this past Saturday. We only had two seats together so we were a little tight on space. She sat on Ralph's lap most of the game b/c when we got there I started to have one of my stomach attacks again (can't figure out what's wrong!). We got to sit a few rows up from the cheerleaders and she loved watching them. Smokey also came up to her a few times and she got to hug him and talk to him and that was the highlight of the trip for her. She loved singing Rocky Top and eating popcorn also. When we walked up to the stadium there were a few men screaming things about going going to hell and I made a comment to Ralph at how crazy they looked and she said "They're not crazy Mom, they're talking about Jesus." I am continually learning from my 3 1/2 year old!
I was surpised at how good she was though. Although when we left Ralph told her to take a good look b/c she wouldn't be back until she was 10 (ha ha)!! When I took her to preschool this morning she told her preschool teacher that she went to a big orange game in a "big stadium!" So I guess she does listen more that we think she does. It was a great day though and it was good to spend some time with just her- she doesn't get that much anymore!! But we did miss Carter and were glad to get back home to him.

Daily Life

Well the regular season is over but now we head to the playoffs. Ralph plays at Greeneville Friday night. I hope he wins, but will be glad when football season is over just to have him home to help with the kids!! Carter is now crawling up the steps, but can't figure out how to get back down!! He is also trying to take a step but can't quite figure it out, I imagine it won't be long!!
I went to Knoxville to shop Saturday with a friend and told Chloe I wasn't buying anything for her because Santa will soon be coming, but told her that when she sees something she wants to say "Santa" and he will hear her. Well I believe she has taken that to heart because everytime she sees something she wants she yells (loudly) "Santa!!" People just look at us like we're crazy.

Chloe and her friend Cora

We had so much fun on Halloween! Chloe had a big party at her preschool and Grandma got to go with her. We went to church for the fall festival that evening. Grandma came in town to help out for Halloween since Ralph is still in football! Chloe was of course a princess and Carter was an octupus. He loved his costume which amazed me!! We also went trick-or-treating- well I drove the car while they jumped out (I had spent the previous day in the ER with a gallbladder attack- so walking was not for me). Hope you enjoy the pictures and also had a great Halloween.

Thanks to you all for your support and love!
Where is everyone else when the camera comes out??

Well football season is coming to a close. I have been very proud of Ralph this year. He is so far 6-3. We have 1 more game and then the playoffs begin. But besides all that I have to say that the fun has been everyone coming to the games with all the kids- did I mention that means usually 16 kids!! I have to say that it has been so much fun to have our closest friends with us every Friday night!! We have even tailgated this year- you know we all love food. The kids have probably had the most fun- they love to play run on the field after the game and try to make "campfires" as they call it with the "pile-ons!"
