The Pop Star

Sorry the pictures are so dark- I couldn't figure my camera out. I had to go home and read the directions after church- I was so mad at myself.

Chloe's children's choir at church has been working this spring on their musical and they performed it last week. We had built up the day for Chloe by telling her that she was going to be a "pop star" tonight. That's what she will tell you when you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she will tell you- a pop star and a mommy. So she got on stage and began to make faces at us, and began to pull her shirt to show everyone her new belt she had on. I thought Ralph was going to die!! We made it through and Daddy will laugh at this one day!!

Well Ralph pulled out the old hair trimmers and decided it was time to give Carter a "big boy" haircut. He did really good and looked soo cute when he was done. He even looked more like Ralph- if that is possible.

Found a House!!

I think we have found a house. We triedto put an offer on this house months ago (before our house was sold) and they turned it down b/c our house was not sold. Well we returned to that house yeaterday and decided to try again. We negotiated with the owners last night. It was crazy!! But I think we finally came to an agreement and we signed the bottom line at about 9:30 last night! Yah- we are excited. So now the stress of finding a house is gone, but all the other stress now comes!! Fun Fun!

It's SOLD!!

Well as many of you know we have been trying to sell our house for 9 months now. We love our home and it has been great for the kids- playroom, yard, etc.. But when we decided that I would quit teaching and my most wonderful husband (ha ha!!) let me follow my heart things had to change! So we decided to sell the house and downsize.

We are thankful that our home finally sold, but will be sooo sad to leave our neighbors. We have GREAT friends that live across the street and I know that God has kept us in this house for as long as we have been here so that we could get to know them better. They are truly wonderful and the pepole who move in here are going to be lucky to have them across the street!!!

So we are going to have to be out soon. So we better get looking! Pray for us- b/c we are going to need it.

Trip...

Well we had a great weekend! We got to go to the beach- it was 80 on Friday and despite the hurricane winds we weathered the beach and actually got LOTS of sun. The rest of the time we shopped and ate- what more could a woman want??

Cyrena and I arrived on Thursday night (about 11:00) and we had reserved the Days Inn for that night b/c we couldn't check into the Marriott until Friday. So we pulled up to our hotel and we both looked at eachother and thought no way are we staying here- I am telling you that people were hanging around outside and the check-in lady was a little scary also! So we pull up to our room and it was a major ordeal for us to run (sprint) to our hotel door and quickly slam the door behind us. We looked at this room - concrete wall, yucky beds, and an odor that was beyond belief. We both agreed that we couldn't stay here. By this point we are laughing so hard that we can't breathe- b/c I am thinking this can't be happening!! So we called Brandy (at the Marriott) and we said that we were coming to sleep with her. So we drove to her hotel and slept on a roll away (twin bed) in her room. It was so funny that I will never forget that night!! By the way we did get our money back!

As for the rest of our trip....

We ate at a "Fancy Spancy" restaurant called Magnolias. It was great- definately not a place we could have eaten with kids.

The Beach!
It was so windy- but we were deternined to lay in the sun. We ate at a little beach restaurant on the beach- it was neat!
This ship was loaded with trucks headed to Iraq. I felt so patriotic watching it head off in the ocean!! These crazy people that say this war is awful need to meet these brave and women that are over there fighting!! Can you tell who this famliy will be voting for???

Well we had a great time. It was a nice getaway for me, but it was exciting to come home to all the hugs and kisses. I even missed Ralph- I kept thinking how much he woudl love all the history of Charleston. So yes he was missed too!!

Thanks Grandma for taking care of Carter and loving him sooo much! Thank you Aunt Amelia for letting Chloe spend the night-she loves being with you!

Girl's Weekend!

Well I am headed to Charleston for the weekend! I have not been away since before Chloe was born (4 years ago)- so I am excited! We are leaving early, early Friday morning! I have not been to Charleston since I was in Middle School so I am looking forward to it. Grandma is keeping Carter- I know I won't have to worry about him- she will love on him and spoil him rotten! Chloe is staying one night with Aunt Amelia and then the rest of the time with Ralph. So they should all be ok without Mom. Well I am sure they will miss me!! All that I want to do is eat at places with NO playgrounds! Have a good weekend!

We had Easter at our house after church Sunday. We had lots of food and we had a great time just being together. The kids had a great time together and they were really good. I hope that Chloe and Carter and her cousins are always close. Family is very important!

I forgot to get any pictures of the four of us on Easter morning- oh well. Maybe we'll dress up another Sunday and take pictures (ha!). Hope you all had a great Easter.
